This is Me
My name is Sophia Schnare. I was born in Bassum, Germany. When I was in primary school I was already fascinated with movies and trickfilms, especially those featuring animals and fantasy creatures and those who take you to wholly different worlds. Ever since then I wanted to take part in making them, in bringing the wonders in them to life. I started to draw and create stories of my own. But I always wanted those to move.
In 2014 I attended a trickfilm workshop in Rostock that was hosted by the Jugendmedienverband MV e.V. and successfully created my first short movie. You can look at the result
In 2017 I moved to Cologne. There I became a student at PixlVisn Media Arts Academy. During my education there I acquired at least a basic level of skill in the entire CG pipeline (storyboarding, modeling, rigging, texturing, animation, dynamics, lighting, compositing and editing) with the programs Maya, Substance Painter, Nuke and DaVinci.
During my time at PixlVisn I worked on larger group projects, we had to deliver in a specific timeframe. We also had project weeks nearly every term. This meant we had one week to deliver a small project, which we had to complete from start to finish (a short rendered sequence) on our own within that week. You can find most of my results in my portfolio.
As of November 2019 I have finished my education at PixlVisn.
Thank you all for visiting my portfolio.
